This is how the sauna marathon works.

The second Sauna Marathon will take place on Friday, January 17 and Saturday, January 18, 2025. We recommend that participants spend the whole weekend in beautiful Schaffhausen so that they can enjoy the event.

Friday, January 17, 2025

18:00-21:00hSoak
Selected saunas are heated and the pools are nice and warm for all participants to soak in.
18:00-23:00hWarm-up party
Big warm-up party with saunas, hot water pools, food & drinks and hot sounds from the Chiesgrueb DJs on the Fronwagplatz.
until 02:00hAfterwards, you can relax until the early hours of the morning in the Rhysauna sauna and party.

10:00h-18:00hSauna marathon
The sauna marathon will take place on Saturday between 10:00 and 18:00. During this time, participants should visit as many locations as possible. Following the example of Otepää, there will now be a group start on Fronwagplatz in the middle of Schaffhausen's old town.
18:00-20:00hAward ceremony and bathrobe party
After the sauna marathon, we await everyone at 6 p.m. sharp in the Nachtclub Orientwhere a reception and the award ceremony will take place. Dress code: Bathrobe. The legendary Chiesgrueb DJs Bruno Jakob and Marco Möckli will provide the right music.

Still allowed until 02:00h in the Rhysauna be saunted out comfortably.

Registration after ticket purchase

Participants are asked to register before taking part in the event. Upon registration, a map with all sauna and pool locations will be handed out together with vouchers, the public transport ticket and an information brochure.

Registration takes place at the Visitor Center of Schaffhauserland Tourismus at Vordergasse 73 in Schaffhausen. Registration is possible (outside the regular opening hours of the Visitor Center of Schaffhauserland Tourismus) on Friday from 13:00 to 21:00 and on Saturday from 08:00 to 12:00.
