You can experience all this at the Sauna Marathon!
The second sauna marathon will take place on Friday, January 17 and Saturday, January 18, 2025 in Schaffhausen.
Programme Details
At Friday, January 17, 2025 saunas and baths on the Fronwagplatz are heated up from 18:00 to 23:00 for a cozy sauna session. The Chiesgrueb DJs will heat up the warm-up party with hot music. Afterwards you can party in the Rhysauna until 02:00.
Participation on Friday does not count towards the ranking, but is highly recommended.
At Saturday, January 18, 2025 the actual sauna marathon with ranking will take place from 10:00 am. The start is at Fronwagplatz in the heart of Schaffhausen's old town. All participants should visit as many locations as possible by 18:00. The award ceremony will take place at 18:00 in Schaffhausen's Orient music club - dress code: Bathrobe. Afterwards you can relax in the Rhysauna until 02:00.
Passing the most beautiful places in the city
The sauna marathon takes you past the most beautiful and interesting places in our city: In the historic old town of Schaffhausen, the Munot (Schaffhausen's landmark), on the banks of the Rhine, in the steel foundry and various parks. Whether with a glass of wine overlooking the Rhine or swimming in one of the historic old town fountains - there is no better way to experience the beautiful city of Schaffhausen.
Highlights
Thanks to numerous partnerships, the second sauna marathon promises to be another culinary journey and participants can look forward to great infusions and ceremonies: a freshly tapped Schaffhausen beer is just as much a part of it as a glass of Schaffhausen Pinot Noir and makkara (Finnish for sausage) cooked on the sauna stove by the Finnish Association. The team from Saunawelt Höchenschwand will pamper participants with the original Siberian banya ritual, while the Rhysauna, the KSS and the infusion yurt on Fronwagplatz will offer adventure and relaxation infusions.
