Nold Woitke and Alexander Dubs are enthusiastic sauna fans. They discovered that the right accessories for a relaxing sauna were often not available. So they founded the company WODU in Uttwil. They sell high-quality sauna accessories and wellness products for sauna and wellness enthusiasts.
Anyone looking for an industrial company or large billboards is wrong. The ideas originated inconspicuously in a detached house, more precisely in the garage, inspired by hours spent in the in-house sauna.
Nold Woitke, head auditor by profession, lives in this house with his family. Alexander Dubs, a self-employed metalworker, lives in Schönholzerswilen and manufactures the sauna brackets in his workshop.
Their friendship began twelve years ago through a sauna group in which they were both active. They complement each other perfectly. Nold as an analytical thinker, Alexander as a pragmatic realiser. Their shared credo is: try things out, develop them further, understand customer needs. In Neukirch an der Thur, they produce «Swiss made» sauna buckets and buckets in their workshop. They develop many items from their own experience. Both are on top form.
A flying start at Wega 2025
The company was launched in September 2025, and although the preparations for Wega were intensive, they paid off. Demand was huge, the business cards sold out quickly and the website had over 2,500 hits within a very short space of time.
The aim is to join forces with partners. For example, with sauna operators, wellness centres and hotels. The current focus is on Switzerland and neighbouring countries.
«We're looking forward to the next big event: the sauna marathon in Schaffhausen in February 2026,» Woitke and Dubs agree.
